Ø Affiliation: Punjab Medical Faculty, Department of Health, Government of Punjab, Lahore
Ø Course Duration: 1 Year (12 Months) Full time.
Ø Eligibility: (Matric) Passed with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Ø Age Limit: 20 years Preferable (Age Limit relaxation will be provided in special case)
Ø Subject to study: A Dispenser student studies various medical subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Bio- Chemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Psychology, Medicine and Surgery and along with Basic Life Support (BLS), dressing, physiotherapy, Computer and Medical ethics.
Ø Job Prospects: Dispensers are essential in every public or private clinic. With increasing awareness in the society qualified dispensers are need and requirement of every clinical setting. A large number will be incorporated in the teaching profession of newly developing paramedical institutions.
Ø The career prospects: A dispenser can choose from various options of clinical work, teacher/instructor or to improve qualification. They can also work as Clinic manager/supervisor, Clinic Outreach coordination, educational instructor/ coordinator etc.
